Vocabulário em Inglês para Inverno



O inverno este ano esta forte e isto inspirou a preparar uma lição com vocabulário neste tema. 
Exemplos de frases:
Snow 
  • When snow starts falling, you should get your shovel ready.
  • Too much snow can make driving dangerous.
  • It snows a lot in January in New York.
  • It was snowing this morning.
Flurry & blizzard 
  • It’s snowing, but just flurries.
  • We are supposed to have snow flurries all weekend.
  • There is going to be a blizzard tomorrow.
Slush & slushy
  • When I stepped in the slush, my shoes and feet got very wet.
  • The road was very slushy. I had to drive slowly.
To be snowed under.
  • Because of the blizzard, we were snowed under. It took more than a day for us to dig out.
  • I can’t leave the office early today. I’m snowed under with work.
  • Bob said he was snowed under with schoolwork.
A snow job:
  • Jack’s reason for coming late was just a snow job.
  • She gave me a snow job about not having time to finish her homework.

Conforme me comprometi, cá estão alguns exercicios com o verbo to be no present. São vários. Tem alguns bem simples, outros mais complicados, vale a pena você se arriscar. Verbos Irregulares em Inglês

Embora os verbos irregulares se constituam numa pequena minoria em relação a todos os verbos existentes na língua, a frequência com que ocorrem é muito alta, o que lhes dá uma importância significativa. São todos de origem anglo-saxônica e se referem predominantemente a ações comuns. Os verbos irregulares do inglês são aqueles verbos que não seguem a regra geral de formação do Passado e do Particípio Passado. A formação do  Past  e do  Past Participle,  de acordo com a regra geral, que se aplica a todos os demais verbos, se dá através do sufixo  - ed . Portanto, todo verbo que não seguir este padrão, será classificado de irregular. All the auxiliary verbs except be, do and have are called modals. Unlike other auxiliary verbs modals only exist in their helping form; they cannot act alone as the main verb in a sentence.
