 Past Tense: O Past Tense, ou tempo passado em inglês, é utilizado para descrever ações ou estados que ocorreram em um momento anterior ao presente. No contexto da Bíblia cristã, muitas narrativas históricas estão no passado. Aqui estão alguns exemplos retirados da Nova Versão Internacional (NVI):   1. How can we most persuasively bear witness to our faith? "Always be ready," Peter urged, "to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you" (1 Peter 3:15). The Greek term for "reason" is apology. That doesn't mean a weak-kneed excuse; it means a convincing argument.
