Hoje é um dia após o dia de Ação de Graças (Thanksgiving). O dia é conhecido nos Estados Unidos como "Black Friday", e há uma série de mitos sobre a origem do nome. Os varejistas querem que você acredite que o dia que eles vendem tudo abaixo do preço de compra, mas a verdade é que suas  verdadeiras origens vêm de policiais de trânsito cansados em Filadélfia, no início da década de 1960. Mas no início de 1960, "Black Friday" passou a ser usado na Filadélfia para descrever a corrida às compras pós-Ação de Graças. VOCABULÁRIO THANKSGIVING Thanksgiving   ou  Dia de Ação de Graças  é o feriado de um dia que originalmente foi criado para agradecer aos “Native Americans”(Indíos nativos americanos) no fim do período de colheita. Nos Estados Unidos é celebrado na quarta Quinta-Feira de Novembro  e a maior parte das pessoas emenda na Sexta-Feira. No Canadá, o Thanksgiving é comemorado na segunda Segunda-feira de Outubro. Eles tem algumas comidas tradicionais neste dia. O peru é prato indispensável.  Em muitos locais, este feriado é mais importante do que o Natal. As famílias se reunem e isto causa um tremendo vai e vem nos aeroportos do pais. Não existe a obrigação de dar brinquedos, apenas o prazer de estarem juntos para passar o dia.  Na manhã do Thanksgiving, acontece a famosa “ Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade ” em Midtwon Manhattan, Nova York. I went to the school, then I went shopping. Algumas vezes a preposição TO é usada logo após alguns verbos, tais como  go, come, walk, etc.(ex: go to the park ). Outras vezes não se usa nada (ex: go home). Exemplos: Use “to” quando se tratar de um local físico especifico: I went to the grocery store. She came to school late today. I usually walk to the park. Babies need many special things made just for them. Everything is made special, from  baby clothes  that are their small size to  baby shampoo  to wash their delicate hair. A special type of underwear for a baby is called a  diaper  or a  nappy.  It holds all of the baby's body wastes until they learn to go to the toilet by themselves. There are two types of them, the disposal ones where you throw them away each time you change the baby, but there are also cloth diapers that you wash after every use. The ones that you throw away have adhesive, but the cloth nappies are closed with a  safety pin . A safety pin is a small needle that goes through the fabric and then closes, so that it never hurts the baby. A  changing table  is where the mum or dad changes the diapers of the baby and makes him/her clean.  Baby lotion  is rubbed on the baby's skin to keep it soft. Baby powder  is a white powder that is rubbed on the baby's skin to keep the baby dry and many times
